Hello! My posts have stopped for a few weeks because so much has happened in real life that I didn’t find time to update. I have been writing haikus regularly, I just have not been posting them much. This is the THIRD WEEK *gasp* of my 100 Days Of Haiku challenge. If you missed my previous posts check out Week One here and Week Two here!
Sometimes I really have a hard time thinking about what to write about and I look for inspiration everywhere. A person I see on my way to work, a book I’ve been reading, previous experiences and maybe a drama I’m watching. Some of these haikus have made their way to this week. Read on for my third batch of haikus~
QUINCE || ABOUT THIS HAIKU
If there was a way that all your heartache and pain can be removed by proxy wouldn’t it be a good thing? That someone can cry it all out for you. Bear all the pain in your stead because you aren’t able to anymore.
If the sky could cry for you, would it be just a drizzle or will it be a torrential downpour? Strong enough to wash everything clean?
DIECISEIS || ABOUT THIS HAIKU
I once watched a drama where the heroine told the hero that even if she wanted to walk away from the relationship, he shouldn’t easily agree. Instead, he should do his best to win her back and knock some sense into her.
I found it funny because sometimes in real life we really do push away the ones we love. Maybe there are valid reasons for leaving someone – but being a Noble Idiot won’t get you a Happy Ending.
DIECISIETE || ABOUT THIS HAIKU
Love is a performance.
And sometimes we fall short of the expectations and demands of the object of our affection. We’re given fleeting, dismissive attention.
DIECIOCHO|| ABOUT THIS HAIKU
Continuing on with the Night theme, under the cloak of darkness we get a glimpse of our silent secrets, whispered by our hearts.
But when the Sun comes they slid away quickly into their hiding places.
DIECINUEVE|| ABOUT THIS HAIKU
The hardest part is when trust gets broken. Seemingly small things which seemed inconsequential suddenly have weight to them. When accusations are made, even if the words were spoken in a flash, like meteors they fall haphazard. Though on the surface the damage may look shallow, but the tiny cracks are there if you look close enough.
VEINTI || ABOUT THIS HAIKU
You’re no good for me.You’ve frozen my heart over, only saving a tiny piece.
A fire relentlessly burning in the night.
