Week One: 100 Days Of Haiku

Secret Songs-blog WEEK ONE

It’s been a week since I started my 100 Day Haiku Project! To be honest, it has not been easy because it’s been awhile since I wrote poems. I was not sure if I had enough material to work with. After a few rough drafts, I realised that I had more than enough material to work with – I just needed to dig deep and unearth memories and the feelings that came along with it. I am so grateful for the feedback I receive over at Wattpadย and Instagram, because it helps boost my confidence in posting. After the jump I’ve posted the first batch of my haikus, and would love to hear your thoughts on them!

UNO: When the wind arrives with greedy hands it carries memories away

QUATRO: Holding on is Futile Haiku

CINCO: Let's find our way home haiku 100 Day Haiku Challenge

Seis: Blazing Bright Sun Haiku

Siete: Stay Alive For Me Haiku

Some of the finished pieces I felt lacked something, I know there’s so much room left for improvement. Thank you for reading all the way to the end, if you’re on Instagram please connect with me @hellowanderlings!
