From Pen to Print: Learning Lettering and Digitizing

hellowanderlings-whatconsumes.jpgOne of my intentions this year is to practice my hand lettering skills more. Not just learning the basics of letter forms but also to digitize the pieces which I feel mildly satisfied about. One of my successes is the quote above which I did for an Instagram Challenge. I wrote it with a brush pen on an A5 sized paper and then cleaned it up and printed it out. The other framed piece was also an experiment in masking fluids and digitizing watercolor.

I’ve learned by leaps and bounds compared to the dabbling that I did last year. Instagram as always is my source of inspiration and motivation. Practicing a lot and just soaking in the information from a lot of the generous and talented people of the hand lettering community has improved my writing and works as.

Because of this new found confidence, I have opened a Carousell shop where I am selling prints and handmade watercolor cards. I am also open to commissioned works , just drop me an email. 🙂
